Blais
About the Job
7 to 10 years old; all ethnicities. Sensitive and impressionable, he looks up to his big brother, wears nail polish, and carries a softness that others see. He’s queer, but too young to feel or understand gender identity and sexuality. What he does feel is that the world looks at him differently but won’t name what they see in him. He and his brother, Cash Jr., operate without much parental guidance. With Cash as his influence, he learns to steal candy from gas stations, turn everything into a competition, and skateboard. When they fight, it’s about protecting their parents. Skateboarding is more than just a hobby for Blaise, it’s a lifeline. MUST KNOW HOW TO SKATEBOARD. MUST BE AVID SKATEBOARDER.
